Announcement

I am currently on Facebook, if anyone wants to continue keeping in touch. :) I haven't had time to update this site, and it is easier announcing to everyone quickly what is going on with me on the Facebook site. I am under Anita Camp Waugh. Looking forward to hearing from you all!

Some Photos of my Family Visiting in January (My Mom, Dad, and Amy)

My Family's Time Here

My parents and sister had an incredible time here. We stayed for a week in a beach house and swam in the ocean a lot. It was so peaceful and beautiful. I did some small sand sculptures in the sand one day, and really enjoyed it. Behind where we were staying was a national park with hiking trails everywhere. The animals were so unusual, and my family was totally amused taking pictures at everything. There are so many different sounds and creatures here than the United States. They got to feed some tame kangaroos in an animal reserve and pet the koalas. They really loved that. When we got back to my house, we spent a lot of time riding the public transportation and showing my family how to get around in Sydney. They loved the trains and ferries. It is easy to get around Sydney without a car. We took a cruise around Darling Harbour and saw many features to Sydney Central. We also went to the aquarium and really enjoyed all kinds of water habitats that are found in Australia. I can't tell if they liked the crocodiles or the sharks better. The platypus was not showing well in the aquarium that day. But I did have a video of it from another time I had visited there. We went to Katoomba in the Blue Mountains and rode some trams that take you to other parts of the canyons. My family got to enjoy these beautiful waterfalls that go down the mountainside as they rode the tram. We also got to see the Three Sisters in the Blue Mountains that are some rock formations in the canyons.

It was hard to say goodbye to them when we took them to the airport. But my dad did say he didn't have ONE bad day in Australia the entire time. I have a feeling they will come again to visit the next chance they can. :)
